First Day of School

We had a great first day - one of many, I'm sure! Your children are AWESOME!
Much of today was reviewing procedures - fire drills, tornado drill, lunchroom, and the rules for these and playground. I read some books aloud on using good manners, playground safety, and a book I wrote about the party at Trevor's. We did a couple of sheets on colors, and one was the first graph they said they've made!

Remember that your child needs separate shoes for gym. I'd like an extra set of clothes and an extra sweater/sweatshirt in case kids get cold, wet, etc.

You will be receiving a note from me in case you'd like to volunteer. If you choose to do so, please send that back. The school office is sending a medical information sheet home, too. That sheet needs to come back for sure.
Thanks!

LOOKING AHEAD:
NEXT TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 8TH WILL BE THE FIRST AND SECOND GRADE PARENT NIGHT. Plan to be here for that. It will be at 5:30 and won't take more than a half hour or so. It's a night to meet other parents and to find out what my hopes and expectations for the year are, and if you have questions that's a good time to ask.

Tomorrow is our first liturgy at 9:00. Please feel free to join us each Wednesday and invite grandparents, friends, etc. We'd love to have you there!
