Nov. 1st

The Halloween/Honors Party on Friday was a big success. The kids had a good time. It could have been for a shorter time so we could have had a classroom party, but I did let them have their treats for morning break. :-) I hope they all had a great time trick-or-treating!

This week we'll be working with words with double consonants. I have a little game to play with them. I am pleased with how well they are doing in spelling now that they have had 7 tests and have figured out that a lot of the words repeat from week to week. This helps them learn the words and use them in their writing rather than learn them just for the test and forget them.

We pray for Father Paul's family as they mourn the loss of their mother. We also pray for members of our families, the soldiers, and many other intentions every day. I love how it helps them think of others and their needs.

Remember there's only 1/2 day of school ( for the kids :-) not the teachers) on Wednesday! October went by so fast, and with Thanksgiving vacation coming soon, it will be a short month for November.

Thank you for all who donated to Stuff-A-Truck and for sending prizes for our Halloween bash! We appreciate everything you do!
