Today we celebrated Mardi Gras! We had King's Cake and popcorn. We made jesters for Art, and wore masks and beads! I read about Mardi Gras so the kids would know what it was about. Last year they made masks, so we did the jester this year. I'm grateful for dollar stores - that's where I bought the beads and masks.
Tomorrow is ASH WEDNESDAY. I hope you can make it to Church with us! We will be doing different projects during Lent, but they all will help us learn about Lent and our faith.
The kids are supposed to do extra reading for Officer Brinker. This is in addition to the 20 minutes they're to be reading for me each night. The more they read, the better they get!!!
Keep Sister Margaret Ann in your prayers. She is having some health issues.
